All in a single season

Here's a picture of Christopher at the conclusion of his first flight in 3J. He had a nice 50 minute flight at the end of the day today.

That makes three new types in a single season. He wants to go for four. His next objective is the big one: the Schweizer 2-33.

Actually ~ I soloed the
Blanik August 1,
Cessna 172 August 18,
Schweizer 2-33 August ?
& the 1-23 today Nov 2.

I got lift to 5k immediately ~ took off north west and flew farther than I ever have. As examiner Bill Stinson said - not a lot lift but NO sink ~
It just wanted to go ~ great weather- I must have been east of Chelsea somewhere and too bad we never got the logger out before I left.

I lost down to around 4k and headed back- half way back I took off north for another cloud street but couldn't seem to get there so I went back to my original spot- about 1/2 mile south-ish of the coper mine and climbed back to 5k.
Not much else to shoot for so I headed north again and back to Tug. Got to the IP and stayed at 2,100 for about 15 minutes- circling maybe 2-300 feet higher than Tug summit a half mile north of Baker's. WTF?. For 15 minutes!
Then finally came in- landing to the north to avoid the low sun~ great little sailplane that 1-23. Except for MtW summit flights- best flight I've had in a month.

Oops. I completely forgot that you had indeed soloed the 2-33. Sorry! I guess this means you're setting your sites on the 304, then.
